Fun with a Friend
The concert was great: Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer and the Coral Reefers were outstanding. The weather was clear blue sky, but the temperature was very chilly after the sun started to go down. Fortunately we were allowed to have heavy jackets and small blankets in the amphitheater. My only and biggest gripe is that there were 8 people in the row directly in front of us. They arrived at their seats right at 8PM. All had alcoholic drinks in their hands and were loud and crazy. Appeared to be intoxicated. The tailgating was a little dull compared to other times. Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer was right in tune, and sounded like his time off from touring was good for him. He certainly voiced his appreciation many times for the audience coming back to the show. My friend and I were seated in the middle of the amphitheater, near the end of a row under the roof. I was extremely disappointed that for what I paid for the tickets, I could not enjoy any of the concert other than listening to the music I could have stayed at home, and enjoyed the concert more on my computer by streaming it. Stood up for just about the entire time during the concert. We could not see the stage, nor either of the big screens, for almost most of the time until the end. I was happy with the parking. The traffic was directed very well by the sheriffs department/VB; both entering and leaving the grounds. So it was a fun evening except for those people ahead of us, who were rude and only seemed to care about themselves.

Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer played the Pageant with around 1000 people in attendance, filling half the house capacity. Most attendees were between 30 and 60 years old. The show started promptly at 8pm and ended around 10:10. The crowd mainly sat and observed, with little movement in the room. Joe's "sound" or "tone" was outstanding, while the sound quality was average. Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer performed on guitar and vocals with a drummer, keyboardist, and bass player who were all competent. The light display was minimal and unremarkable. JB, a guitar legend at 32, captivated the audience with his performance. I was pleased to have experienced his show, featuring mostly original songs and a few covers, demonstrating his skills as a vocalist as well. Tickets were relatively pricey at $42.
So excited…. Then so disappointed
I bought tickets for both days, excited for this concert. Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer, which I hadn’t seen in a few years, was disappointing. Saturday’s show had a great opener, but Dave played two good songs. The rest before I left was meh. I didn’t go to hear Tim Reynolds jam over and over again or hear obscure songs. I understand that Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer has been touring for years, and playing old songs may get old, but if Dave has to say “thank you very much” eight times to wake people up, then he needs to realize he should play what we paid to hear or hang it up. He seemed to just dial it in and didn’t care about putting on a show. I didn’t bother to go on Sunday; sold two tickets and ate the rest. The ship has sailed. Not worth the effort after Saturday’s disappointing show. Bottom line… I’m not giving Dave any more of my cash when I feel robbed after a show.

I was already a fan of Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer for several years. A few years ago, I became a fan of Ledisi when I first heard her on Heart & Soul singing "Alright" and finally got to hear her sing it live. Simply Fabulous! An understatement is a powerhouse performer and amazing talent! Ledisi has the kind of singing voice that you would never get tired of listening to. I love her bubbly self even more. Major did a good job as an opener to get you ready for what's to come. Go and see for yourselves. You won't be disappointed! Priceless!"
AN EVENT YOU CAN'T MISS
Among the greatest films ever, this is an amazing encounter for true Star Wars fans! Quite the characters are the people who come out, the effects are great, and the music is awesome. Not the world's biggest fan, I am, my friend is, but we bought tickets to go. I am now the biggest fan ever! I have gone and seen John Williams preform this music, and I would say this concert is pretty darn close to the real thing. So much fun and worth it! Even had friends preform with the chorus.

The Queen of the Arenas in the 70s and 80s, now playing at elegant upscale venues that are intimate and regal. Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer sold out stadiums around the globe, pulling a reported 800,000 in Central Park. At this point in her career, she owned international venues like the mega-star she is in the 90s. Now, she is exactly where I envisioned she would be playing the most, elegant state of the art venues in a given market. "I'll be at The Fox Theatre, Radio City, and Saratoga Concerts outside of San Francisco."
